نکات زیر رو یک آمریکایی بازنشسته با سابقه طولانی در HR عنوان کرده. به خوندنش میارزه:

First, find the corporations/firms that need skills like yours. Then, try to get your foot in the door with someone in that company. Use Linked In, networking, have someone who liked your work at your old firm call a manager in the companies. If you just can't find anyone, then send your resume to the manager you would be working for. Use email, if possible, snail mail if necessary. Ask to meet with him/her - DO NOT ASK FOR A JOB OR AN INTERVIEW. You are only asking to meet to network and get information and advice. Most people like to help others, and virtually all people love it when someone asks for advice.

Second, find jobs in the area listed on Indeed.com More on SimplyHired.com (no doubt some are duplicates of the Indeed.com listings) Several on CL and Monster. Probably a few in Sunday's News and Observer. Some are part time. Consider taking one of the PT jobs if you need to. At least you'll be gaining experience, skills and more contacts in your field.

Third, use LinkedIn or other resources to find people who would be your peers in your industry. email them, preferably, or call them on the phone, if you can't email. Ask to meet them for coffee or lunch to pick their brain. Network with them (reread #1 above).

Fourth, find industry groups in your field, again to make the contacts and networking. You can quickly find several on MeetUp by googling your field.

But before any of this, take the next job offered to you that has convenient, flexible hours to continue your job search in your own field. Better to be working than not working.
