Dear Applicant
Your medical report is not valid more than 6 months according to the New
Technical Instructions for TB . For some cases like those whom gave 3
sputum samples for TB culture and who eaited for 2 months for this
additional medical test result it is "valid only for 3 months" starting
from the last test result's reporting date.
Check you medical clearence date roughly from your "own personal
calender". If your medical expires, US Embassy may ask you to renew
your medical report. Normally it is valid fir 6 months.
If you are asked for a new medical report, you need to go on almost "whole
process again", "except the blood work". For those who gave sputum samples
for the TB culture the reports are valid for 3 months and if they are
asked to renew their medical report they need to repeat all tests
including those additional sputum samples (3 samples in three days)
ecluding blood tests.
If your medical report is older than 12 months you will also need to
repeat the blood tests.
The medical re-examination of an adult in 12 months time is including the
ChestX-ray, a detailed Physical Examination, Vaccination, which means you
need to make a new web-appointment with us, again. You may need 2 days if
for a repeating medical examination and related tests.
If you have a child older than 2 but younger than 15 years and, during the
first medical check here, if your child was found to have 10 mm or more
than 10 mm positive TB Skin Test (PPD) and if we obtained a Chext X-Ray
here, than this time you do not need to spend 4 days here as we do not ask
for another TST , but we order directly a Chest X ray for such cases. 2
days are enough for this spesific type.
If your child does not fit in the description above , you will certainly
need 4 working days "all other children" (2 to 15 years age) needs to
repeat the TST test here and need 4 working days. besides the physical
examination, vaccination and final report.
(We do not apply a test on Thursday as we are not able to read it on
Sunday (72 hours)
Please be aware that the appointment software in our system opens the
available appointments only 30 days before the day you want to reschedule
( i.e; if today is 15th of January you can not make an appointment today for the date 16th of February, but you may make it tomorrow.
Because you have no fixed date by the embassy (no appointment with them) you may think that it is difficult to make an appointment for "renewal" of a medical document. But in fact it is not so hard;
The first thing you need to make is to decide the date you would like to be in the embassy for delivering the new medical document (mentioned as missing document in some papers like the blue one).
Once you make your decision on a date, consider it as if it is your appointment date with the embassy ( as the time is fix for everyone, write 13:00 for the embassy appointment time)
Apply the rules above exactly same with those for a first time medical appointment (i.e. for an adult count 2 work days back and ask us to book an appointment 2 days before the date you want to go to the embassy and for a child count 4 work days back )
We normally will try to prepare it earlier but, providing an appointment means to prepare the result in time for the immigration process so let yourself to have a safety period
