I had interview on 28feb2012 in Ankara. How I can annonce my adminesternig processes atfter 6 month? What should ?
. 1This, unfortunately is an all too common problem. "Administrative Processing", a polite way to define background and security name checks can easily take a year or more to complete, especially so if you are an Iranian citizen applying in Ankara or were born in any predominately Moslem country. There is nothing you can do, except to file a "Mandamus" action in federal court in the U.S. to compel the US embassy, consular section in Ankara to issue a decision in your case within a reasonable time. Nothing else will help. They will finish those AP when they see fit and notify you then. Please continue to be patient, or else hire a lawyer in the US to prepare a writ of mandamus on your behalf in Federal Court here (will cost you a "pretty penny", with outcome uncertain.)
2- I agree with my colleague. Administrative processing is often used when security clearances have not been completed. You will not be issued an immigrant visa unless and until the background checks are satisfactorily completed. This can take months or even more than a year. The U.S. Embassy can refuse to issue you an immigrant visa even if the petition was previously approved. You can either patiently wait for a decision or retain an experienced attorney to file a mandamus action in federal court if more than six months has passed with no decision.
3- Administrative processing means they are doing background and security checks. You must be patient or you can consult an attorney.
4-
Thank you for your email. It is difficult to predict how long will it take to adjudicate your immigrant visa however administrative processing can take on average from 1-6 months or longer. I would say be patient and regularly check in with the Consulate. If that does not work please contact us to see if we'll be able to assist.
